Chapter 6 - Nature and Development of Will Power

IN HUMAN LIFE I seem to see three
different forms of manifestations of
energy, which for convenience's sake
I am going in this article to call physical, mental, and spiritual. Physical
energy is what we have been treating
of in this series of articles; proving that
it is not drawn from food, but is received in
sleep. It is the life force of the organism, the work
power of the body. Mental energy is thought power.
I do not: know what the difference between physical
work power and thought power may be I do not know
whether there is a difference or not but I know that
there are individuals who have a great deal of physical
power and apparently very little thought power;
and, there are others who have a great deal of thought
power and very little vital energy; and so I will consider them as separate forms of force. We will, therefore,
