11 Light is sown for the righteous, and gladness for the upright in heart.
12 Rejoice in the Lord, ye righteous; and give thanks at the remembrance of his holiness.
The subject is the Ruling Power of the Spirit — “Now the Lord is the Spirit — and this is a cause of Rejoicing (verses 1, 8, 11, 12). The Earth = the outward principles, rejoice. Multitude of isles = the Principle of Multiplicity = Polarity to the Unity. The Central Point, the ONE, is where the Throne is (verse 2) = Right Judgment, Uprightness is there: and until this is reached the outward manifestations are clouds and darkness.
To the enemies the Spirit is a Consuming Fire: Inversion. “Like as the lightning cometh out of the east and shineth even into the west” (verse 4). The “hills” melt like wax = reductio ad absurdum of the Intellectual Principle when taken alone (verse 5). Belief in Idols causes confusion (verse 7). “Little children, keep yourselves from idols.” Zion rejoices for Unrightness which is destruction = Uprightness which is Building up. To hate evil = to Love the Lord (verse 10). The Spirit preserves the Soul that trusts it (verse 10). Light, which makes all clear, comes to the righteous. Uprightness causes gladness. The perception of the Wholeness is the cause of Rejoicing (verses 11, 12).
The Centre , or Throne, is within ourselves, for otherwise it would be impossible to find the Centre
