meaning of “ God “ which is not anthropomorphic. But in whatever manner we realize “God,” the essential point is to set our hope on God (verse 7) and to have our spirit steadfast with God (verse 8). The true Worship of the Father in spirit and in truth is the only sound foundation for all else, whether activities or receptivities. If we are thus “rooted and grounded in Love” (the root in us, and “God” Itself as the ground), then we shall have strength with all saints to search all lengths and breadths and heights and depths with safety.

We must trust in “his salvation” (verse 22), i.e., in the Saving-Principle of the Universal Mind. The error is in Limiting “God” (verse 41). “God” says, “Is my hand shortened in any way?” (Isa. L: 2).

Note the mystical names Jacob, Israel, David (verses 5 and 70). David’s work is to feed the sheep—“ Lovest thou me? “—then “Feed my sheep.”
