When giving the regular “week’s treatment” proceed as upon the first day, substituting for the fifth step the following:
Make such denials and affirmations as are appropriate to the case. In the six-day course of treatment, the fourth day you deny that there is anything to fear, or any cause for guilt or remorse, or that there is any influence in the fears of others, and you affirm the protection of the Love of God and the presence of Almighty Trust in the power of Good, Life, Health, Peace, and Prosperity.

Sudden and painful attacks of disease are among the easiest of the problems to be solved by mental healers. They almost invariably yield instantaneously, and are among the best proofs of the power of the Word to those who seek testimony through the senses.
A few such instances will be very helpful to the young healer in giving confidence in his or her word. And this very confidence will be a healing power in itself. When you have gained this, you will find that your very entrance into the sick room will allay pain. More than this, the moment their cases enter your mind they will begin to be better, and you will find that often for them simply to turn to you will relieve them.
