Whether it is the appearance of illness trying your faith in health, whether it is the appearance of lack trying your faith in abundance, or the appearance of fear and inharmony trying your faith in love, you have within yourself a Spirit of faith greater than any physical appearance or any false belief or obstacle. The Father has given you this faith, and has meant it for good, has meant it for an active, living force of good.

It is by positive action that our faith in God, in good, develops and waxes strong. A friend, sorely tried in many ways, wrote recently, "There was a time when I thought it would be impossible to make the trip to a government hospital and undergo necessary examinations. I was informed two weeks before the time to go and immediately began to pray and to change my fearful thinking into positive thoughts about the matter. I was delighted and surprised too at the way God gave me the power to overcome fear and to have peace of mind throughout the two weeks and during the trip.
