THE RESURRECTION BODY
"In my Father's house are many mansions." But will our mansion in the future life be a definite one? Will our bodies be real and solid as they now are? We cannot imagine a body without clear outline and contour of form. Shall we simply be spirits, void of definiteness of shape? We are spirits right now, just as much as we ever shall, or ever can be. Spirits using a definite body through which to express the life we feel and know. We are spirits now and we shall be spirits then. As life has given us a body through which to function here so will it give us a body through which to function hereafter.
Have we not already been told of a matter, or a fine substance more subtle than that which appears? Has not science told us that within all matter, as we understand it, there is a finer, more subtle, yet more solid substance than the matter we are ordinarily aware of? This inner matter has just as much possibility of taking on form as the outer matter, indeed, we are told that all form comes from (page 176)
it. The resurrection body will be taken with us when we leave this one behind.
