MAKING A CHANGE
Question—I am puzzled how to start in the practice of Religious Science. I want to leave my present position for another with more future. Can you help me?

ANSWER—In the practice of Religious Science relative to the particular situation, you would not leave your present position until a better were offered. You should work to know that that Divine Intelligence within you which is already one with all good is now establishing you in that place which is best suited to your abilities and then you should wait for the outcome of this treatment which will certainly produce the desired result. In this way there need be no anxiety nor strain, but rather a calm sense of peace and certainty and a willingness to let the law operate.

EXPLANATION OF HYPNOTIC BELIEFS
Question—I am an amateur practitioner, working for a friend who, I fear, neutralizes my efforts on his behalf.

ANSWER—Your belief that he can neutralize your work gives his negative thought the very power you should deny. You are seeing two powers; one for and one against the desired result. It matters not what he says or does; you are not working with his thought. You are working with your own, and with yourself, alone. You must heal yourself—your own mind. Your work begins and ends within your own mind. (page 133) Clear your own thought. Know that the word you speak is the law for him. Know that there is nothing to oppose your word, because your word for him is the Word of God for him—and in this Word there can be only right action. Cease to see any importance in anything that throws doubt or confusion into your own thought-stream.
