TREATING FOR A POSITION
Question—Can you help me to work to obtain a certain position which I have filled before?
ANSWER—If this position is really yours, and it is right for you to have it, nothing can keep you out of it. In the divine harmony, you are a part of the Perfect Whole and cannot be out of place. Know in your innermost soul that what is yours is always yours, and that you are in your right place now, no matter what appearances may appear to be. Remember, you must convince your own mind of the truth. "It is the subjective state of your thought that determines your experience." So the thing to remember is that you are now in your right place. Drop the thought of this particular position and use the larger conception in your meditation. If this IS the place, your mental work will place you in it.
ESTABLISHING FAITH
Question—I am a firm believer in the efficacy of prayer and for many months have prayed earnestly that God would grant me a share of the great plenteousness which is everywhere, but so far I have not been able to demonstrate. A friend told me that when I ask I must believe that I have already received, but I cannot believe, when I am in such straitened circumstances, that I am prosperous. Will you kindly advise me as to the right thought I must hold?
ANSWER—You are blinded by what you are looking at. The sense of sight is showing you a picture that is impressing itself into your subjective mind. This picture is composed of elements which you do not wish to have manifested as objective experience.
The thing for you to do is to close your eyes to appearances and to realize that before you call, you are answered. If it is
(page 123) hard for you to feel this truth, treat yourself for greater receptivity to your good. This will entail a total renunciation of the evidences of the senses. In your inner, secret, knowing Self, where abides the Divine Presence and Power, YOU ARE KNOWN TO BE a perfect part of the great, abundant Life, and when you can believe this, and learn to look upon your life as being rich and abundant, you will see the law begin to manifest for your good. In treatment, meditate on this, and speak your word as follows:
"Behind the law that obeys, upholds, executes and fulfills, there is Love. Both law and love are resident in the true Self of everyone, therefore, this law and love are within me. I speak my word into this law for the cleansing of unbelief, and my subjective mind is now cleansed of all doubt, and denial. I am not receptive to any element in the objective that denies my abundant life and expression, and I receive my infinite supply now. I realize that as I believe, it is done unto me; therefore, I know that abundance is mine now, to enjoy and experience. I am open and receptive to all my good, and I know that I receive because I now obey the law, and BELIEVE that I do receive."
