TREATING FOR RIGHT ACTION
Question How can we obtain what we desire?

ANSWER-It would not be a good thing if we could always have what we wish for. This is not a true idea of prayer. True prayer is always "Thy will be done." But the reaction to this prayer is not morbid. It is not in accord with divine will that we be unhappy, sick, poor, afraid. Whatever the Divine will is, it must be peace, joy, go0dness, abundance, happiness, spontaneity, wholeness, opulence, success. Scientific prayer or treatment works for things in their original sense and lets them flow into experience along the line of least resistance, which is the way all natural forces work. "Thy will" is a prayer that the God-will, the Cosmic will is expressed in its completeness, hence there is no limit to such a prayer. One would pray for abundance, physical healing, etc., knowing that he is in line with the Divine will, but he would not pray that everything he wished might happen, because in 0ur present state of evolution we are not wise enough to always know what is best.

PURSUING THE RIGHT COURSE
Question—How can one be sure he is pursuing the right course in his quest for happiness and success?

ANSWER—One should treat to know that that which makes for his greatest success and most complete happiness is now in his experience. Look always to the idea, never to the way in which it is going to manifest. But if things begin to happen pointing toward a way, deliberately work to know that if this is best, the way will open. If one is not sure what to do and there appear to be many things that could be done, he should treat to realize that the Indwelling Intelligence knows what to do and compels him into right action, (page 115)
