ACQUIRING RECEPTIVITY
Question—My letter is quite an interrogation point. We have a poultry ranch. We love our home, we like the work and everything about it except the sum we still owe on the ranch. I know that God has that somewhere for us, but why don't we receive it? I am also in need of healing. Now I believe God has health, happiness and wealth in abundance for us all and for me, and wants to give it to me and to us. Now what am I to do to receive it?

ANSWER—The Spirit can only give us what we can take and since the taking is a mental process, it is necessary for you to accept the fact that the Spirit has already provided the means for you to discharge all of your obligations. In your treatment, work to convince your own mind that this has already taken place, RESOLUTELY TURNING (page 111) FROM EVERY ATTEMPT TO SEE HOW IT MIGHT TAKE PLACE and completely accept that it is already done. The answer to prayer is in the prayer when it is prayed and unless it is, there will be no answer. Mental treatment is for the purpose of convincing one's own mind, since the Eternal Mind is already convinced. When our individual minds unqualifiedly accept the action of the Universal Mind in us and through us and for us, we demonstrate the Truth and find ourselves healed and surrounded by abundance.
