IMPEDIMENT OF SPEECH
Question—Please tell me what treatment to use for my little son, whose speech is defective. He is in an institution. I have not seen him since last November and I am discouraged and sad.
ANSWER—Being discouraged and sad yourself focuses a mental discouragement and sadness into the whole situation, and will have a retarding effect in your son's progress. Rather be grateful that he is in a place where he has the constant ministrations and training of persons who are specialists in their work. Realize, "ONE WITH GOD is a totality," and nothing is impossible to the ALL-LOVING MIND of God in which your child lives and moves and has his being.
Use a treatment like this daily: Clear the mind of all fear and worry and see your son as being happy, whole, complete; a normal boy in every way. Know that the Life which is God flows through him and heals and vitalizes every organ of his body. Know that there is no impediment of speech in Divine Mind, and know that the Spirit of Infinite and Perfect Life is his life, that absolute Intelligence controls every act of his life, and that he is the ALL-LOVING, ALL-CONQUERING son of God, fearless and free.
DAILY SPEAKING THE WORD
Question Should one continually speak the word, each day,
for that which he is asking, or is it only necessary to say it one or two days and then wait for the fulfillment of the word?
ANSWER—Yes, one should not only speak the word each day, but he should meditate on the fact that the word is a living thing endowed with the power and intelligence to act itself out as the condition he wishes to see manifest. Such meditation is analogous to watering the seed you plant (page 95) in
your garden. This daily spoken word causes the impression to sink deeper and deeper into the creative soil of the subjective, and you should be careful to introduce no element that would tend to alter or neutralize the word. All outlining should be left to the Indwelling Intelligence which knows just how to fulfill. "The definite, persistent, scientific repetition of the same idea on the same Mind, brings the awakening in the form of demonstration."
