FAILS TO HOLD FRIENDS
Question—Just recently I have become rather despondent as the more I try to help myself, the worse I get. If I could ever overcome the worry about losing my dearest friends, I would be very happy.
ANSWER—Emerson says, "If you wish to have a friend, be
(page 80) a friend." It is important that we should loose our friends if we would keep them. Are we permitting something other than perfect freedom in thought, speech and action to formulate our reaction toward our friends? True friendship is founded on the principle of Unity. Feel the Spirit of Friendliness within you; it is an irresistible magnet and will draw friends to you. To have an enduring friendship, lasting and true, cultivate an attitude of friendship toward everybody and everything. Love more. Love is reciprocal and it gives back to us as we give to it. Daily build such an atmosphere of goodwill and friendliness around you that friends will seek you, and persistently image these ideal friendships.
The Law always works.
