COLDS
Question—Will Religious Science heal a common cold? If so, will you please tell me how to treat for this condition as I am very susceptible to every change in the weather?

ANSWER—Since you admit that you are susceptible to changes in the weather with the result that you have colds, you must be brought to realize that you have accepted this mental impression so whole-heartedly that every wind that blows plays upon you as upon a delicate harp, sure of accord with it. The trouble really lies not with the weather, but with your mind. Fear is at the bottom of it, perhaps old training has impressed you with the idea that a "draft will give you pneumonia." This belief causes you to be afraid and confused. But mental conflicts also cause confusion, and confusion causes colds. So search your subjective for the habitual source of your colds. You will, therefore, see that Religious Science can help you to heal yourself forever.

ACIDOSIS
Question—Kindly tell me what, in your opinion, causes acidosis, as it seems to be the popular disease.

ANSWER—It is not always necessary to know the exact cause of any particular disease. But to know that there is no reality to evil and no power in that which is false, is scientific. The Spirit is pure, undefiled, and It is the essence of kindness. There is no bitterness or vindictiveness in Spirit. It contains (page 78) no condemnation and judges no one. You are Spirit. Perhaps there has been an unconscious negation working in your mind for some time. It would be well worth while to clarify your thought. Forgive all that appears to have been wrong. Hold no evil thought against anyone and see what the result will be.
