POWER OF THE SUBCONSCIOUS
Question—What part does the subjective mind play in the normal operation of the human intellect?

ANSWER—The subjective mind is not an entity, but a storehouse. It is not a thing of itself but a WAY according to Law. It is a neutral field, responding to the intellect. It acts as a law of tendency, tending to repr0duce in the objective world the images and states of consciousness which are imparted to it through our mental reactions to life.

SPECIALIZING THE LAW
Question—In what does the specialization of a natural law consist?

ANSWER—By the specialization of a law is meant the conscious use of that law for a definite purpose. We do not create the law. The law is used that it may create something for us. We generate electrical energy, we do not create it. We bring it to a center and distribute it. That which was simply a potential energy now has a definite purpose. It is not conscious of this purpose, but we are conscious of it. The energy of mind is similar to other laws. We are thinking centers in mind. The law of mind specializes itself through (page 25) our belief. Faith generates the power, gathers it in. The treatment distributes it so that in one place it heals and in another place it is creative of conditions, etc.
